Tab Harbor privacy policy
Tab Harbor is published by Kirsch Labs. This policy covers the extension; the site privacy policy covers this website.
What Tab Harbor handles
Tab Harbor reads the titles and URLs of the tabs in your current browser window only when you choose Save current tabs or explicitly ask for an on-device topic suggestion in the AI workspace. A saved session contains the name you type, the titles and URLs of its web tabs, and the time it was saved.
Where your data stays
Saved sessions are stored in this browser profile using Chrome local extension storage. The extension sends no session data to a server. There is no account, cloud sync, analytics, advertising, remote script or payment collection.
On-device AI suggestions
The optional AI workspace processes the titles of your open web tabs on this device with a MiniLM model (Xenova/all-MiniLM-L6-v2) that is included in the extension. The model and its runtime are bundled with the extension, so no remote model API is called and your titles and URLs are not sent to a model provider. You review each suggestion and apply it yourself.
Backups and restoring
Exported backups contain your saved tab titles and URLs and are stored wherever you save the file. Keep them private, and import only backups you trust. Restoring a session opens its saved websites, which then follow their own privacy policies.
Deleting your data
Remove a session to delete it from local extension storage. Removing the extension removes its local data; export a backup first if you want to keep it. Deleting a session does not delete backups you exported elsewhere.
Use of data
- Tab data is used only to save, list, restore, back up and name your sessions.
- It is not sold or transferred to third parties, and it is not used for advertising, creditworthiness or lending purposes.
- Tab Harbor’s use of information received from Chrome APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Price
This release is free early access. No purchase or subscription is required. If a future version handles data differently, for example to validate a license, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
